Logan and Rayna at the Treasury on the Plaza
Logan and Rayna’s Gatsby-themed wedding at the Treasury on the Plaza was one to remember! The Treasury on the Plaza is best known for its vault and historic aesthetic. We had the honor of providing photography and videography services for this special couple.
Rayna has a background in theater and dance, so this day was full of special details that thoroughly matched the couple and the vibe of the day. Rayna and Logan wanted a Gatsby/James Bond aesthetic and the venue perfectly complemented this theme. Every detail was intentionally planned from the bride and groom’s style to the cocktail table-toppers.
The Treasury is located in St. Augustine, Florida which is an amazing city and should definitely be on your “places to visit” list! As the oldest continuously-occupied city in the United States, St. Augustine is proud of its heritage.

A beautiful spot for a first look with your bride and groom!
On the morning of the wedding, we arrived early, got set up and began getting some candid, “getting ready” shots of the couple and their bridal party.
Jake and Caleb took Logan and his crew out on the square in front of the plaza to get some photographs and video footage, while Olivia and Adriana captured some pre-ceremony shots with the ladies inside. We always work to find ways to capture these special moments without the bride and groom seeing each other.
As the guys finished up outside, it began to rain. Fortunately, we were able to get some gorgeous photos of Rayna and her bride tribe inside the venue.

Before we knew it, the guests were arriving and we took our places for the ceremony. The ceremony hall at The Treasury is also the setting for the reception.
Logan and Rayna have several nieces and nephews and it was important for them to be included in the bridal party. They were able to add an element of fun to the bride and groom’s entrance with music from James Bond and Shania Twain setting the mood.
Logan and Rayna have a relationship centered on God and their ceremony reflected that with Bible readings and prayer.
After the ceremony, we captured their family formals and bridal party portraits.

From then, Jake and Caleb set off with the just-married couple to the Renaissance hotel which is about 10 minutes away. Brandee Gaar with Blush by Brandee was on-hand to help make sure our couple stayed dry as it was still raining!
We set up our couple on the famed staircase inside the Renaissance Hotel and went to work! Rayna and Logan were each rockin’ a pair of Loubutin shoes, so we had to make sure to capture that fun detail. From there, we were able to move outside for a few photos with their vintage Rolls Royce.
While we were capturing these fun bridal portraits, there was plenty of activity happening back at the Treasury on the Plaza. Olivia and Adriana were capturing all the details and photos of the cocktail hour, while the Blush team was transforming the ceremony space into the reception space.

Finally, it was time for Logan and Rayna’s reception entrance. Using the historic vault is a popular way for couples to make their dramatic entrance. It’s a good idea for couples to consider how their silhouette will look and use whatever theme they’ve chosen for this moment.
As the lighting was going to change for the entrance, Jake and Olivia chose to have one shoot with a flash and the other without the flash. Dramatic lighting changes are fun in real-life, but can be a challenge for a photographer. Having a second shooter on hand is a great way to ensure these moments are captured in multiple ways and from different angles.
But the details for the day were not done! Logan is a successful football coach, so in addition to a well-choreographed first-dance, they included a football throw to weave in a personal touch for Logan.
The party was going strong when the Chick-Fil-A cow showed up with late night snacks and some dance mooooves at the end of the night.
Logan and Rayna enjoyed a private last dance and then exited their perfect day with cold sparkler fountains and bubbles. It was an amazing day that we were so happy to be part of. Looking forward to shooting back at the Treasury on the Plaza soon!
